Vosonic 80GB VP5500 Multimedia Storage

Vosonic 80GB VP5500 Multimedia Storage

Has anyone used one of these or something like this for backing up photos to ? if you have can you let me know what you think of these as an option to multiple cards.

I have (don't often use) a Epson 2000 - 40gb photo storage. Works a treat, simple to use, does RAW and looks great. Painfully slow, but thats an aside.

I've also used my Archos (160gb) which works just as well, without being able to view RAW files. So as a storage device its great.

So in general, i prefer them to multiple cards. But there is always the niggle in my mind 'it could fail....' But i could loose multiple cards too....

Im really thinking of getting one of theses infact the Epson P-3000 40GB Storage as im off on holiday i was going to see if they had them in duty free... do these work with all RAW ie will i be able to see my Sony RAW files ??

I have an old vosonic xs drive thing, it works, OK I dont use it often but its still going after 5 years.
