Question Which external flash for NIKON D40 ?

I know the NIKON D40 camera comes with a built in flash but I need something that little bit bigger with a stronger flash

As part of my job I occasionally take photographs of the inside of newly refurbished buildings ie before and after shots (I know - not very exciting)

I have used my own NIKON D40 camera for this but have found the flash not strong enough for very large rooms (accommodating 70 - 80 staff)

Any advice on which external flash to get (£100 max)

Thanks

Cullmann 34 AF-N Flash for Nikon

Nikon Speedlight SB-400 External Flash: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics & Photo

A candle or torch.

I know diddly squat about your system BTW.

Am not familiar with 3rd party but sb400 seems the best bet, although the sb600 is far better but double your budget.

Re: Which external flash for NIKON D40 ?

Hope it's not too late, go for a Nissin Di 622. Does most things the SB-600 can do and is under a hundred notes. Better value than the sb-400 totally.
