Crazy Cameras.

Hi Guys,

I see that from previous threads, I am not the only one to order in haste and repent at leisure, I have ordered a Sony HD camcorder from CrazyCameras on the 12th of December 2009 with a 5-7 day delivery, (30 days when busy in small print). I have emailed to find out when it will arrive, they said they are having supply problems, I have cancelled the order as of tomorrow and I will let you know how I get on. I am completely unbiased at the moment, just annoyed at the lack of feedback.

Welcome on here
Im afraid Im going to lock this thread
Im sure you saw
Crazy Cameras
46 pages and 690 posts...Phew!
I would suggest when you have the full details, PM me and then Ill add it to this and merge it with the other thread but Stuart has closed the other one for all the right reasons and we don't feel a never ending saga with CC will serve any further purpose
It is for that reason I requested no further CC related threads
I hope I wont need to make a habit of this
Thanks

Crazy Cameras - Your bank can help. Just received refund from MasterCard

I was someone who had issues with Crazy Cameras in the other thread when they sent me a differnet product to the one advertused. I'd just like to say that after complaining to my bank, MasterCard have refunded me in full (and I still have the extra camera, infact).

I shall still be more cautious when buying online, and be sure to do my research first, but buyer beware is no excuse to allow companies to mess people around in this way.

And it's nice to know that MasterCard agree that Crazy Cameras were in the wrong. Let's hope they take aware their merchant services ASAP.

Don't mean to open it all up again, but just wanted to let people know the course of action which was successful for me, and somuch easier than trying to deal with the... um... "less than helpful", Crazy Cameras .

Happy snapping.

Crazy Camera Refund Success

Hi, I was given really poor service by Crazy Cameras after I paid £189.00 for a Canon Speedlite 430 II on the 1st march.

After trying to track my order, I found that I had received really poor service and wouldn't be getting my flashgun. They took my money instantly, luckily from a credit card through so I was reassured that I would be covered.

I looked through this thread Crazy Cameras and found that the website was registered in the US so I contacted the Federal Trade Commission and reported them for really poor service.

A few days passed and I got a reply from the FTC saying that they had took up my case and had contacted Crazy Cameras in a request for a refund. I got the same generic emails from Crazy Cameras about shipping problems etc but the FTC were great and emailed me all updates about my case.

I finally got my refund on the 17th March and was very happy as I'd pretty much written it off.

If anyone has been victim of Crazy Cameras, contact the FTC and they will fight your case!

Hi there, I've merged your thread with the crazy cameras thread. I've also had to edit out some potentially libellous words from your post.

Exclamation Crazy Cameras - Fraudulent Transactions - Please read if you have bought from them.

Hi all, long time reader, first time poster

I'm aware this thread will probably immediately get blocked due to the topic being CC!
However I feel this information needs to be spread quickly, so please tell all who you know who have shopped and bought from this company.

Sometime in the past week or so the CC website went down and now no longer exists.

On Tuesday a friend had a mass of fraudulent transactions made to his account. Then yesterday I had over £900 of goods charged to my credit card from various companies. The common denominator... we had both purchased from CC last month (This was a new card for me at the time and I've only used it twice since, once at Sainsbury's and once at Jessops, both times the card never left my hand).

I imagine most of the damage has already been done, but if you have bought from CC in the past, please consider blocking your card and getting a new one. I'm sure the card companies are all over this like a rash, but I don't want to see anyone else get caught out.

Apologies for posting on the topic of CC, but I'm too shocked by this to sit here and not want to warn anyone. I promise all future posts I make will be camera related!

Regards,

Rick

I'll close this Rick and add it to the CC thread.

Welcome to the forum by the way and if you're a pro get some piccys up and some tips for us amateurs.
