eBay discount voucher: Offer to AVF Photo Forum Members
Ahoy!
Seems someone @ eBay likes me. I've got a voucher code that only I can use against a purchase with a maximum 10% or £100.00 off if used by 12th Feb.
Now, love me loathe me, I don't think I can use the code myself. So rather than waste it or lose it, if anyone is after an item and they would like me to bid on it, I will buy it for them as long as the final figure price is sent either via PayPal and pay all fees or direct bank transfer.
Now I expect to get my butt kicked for posting this on AVF (and get yet another ban), but what do I do?
I guess first come first served, but I will I can only bid up to a certain amount (I'm not Mr. Moneybags), so it ought to result in a saving for you.
If the mods on this forum decree this is an inappropriate post or in the wrong place, please delete or remove.

Nice sentiment in the original post, but I reckon it's Ebya/Paypal account specific...won't transfer methinks.
I got one too ...alas, a 5D MkII is still about 90% too expensive even with this 10% code.

Pirate did say .. in the original post ... that the person would have to let him know the item they wanted and transfer the money to his paypal/bank account and then he would bid on it for them and pay via his Paypal account.

I'm absolutely gutted - I bought a Canon 40d from the Canon outlet, and my voucher for some reason didn't work - and now eBay won't apply it after the fact...

Unfortunately, they were singularly useless. The first e-mail I sent, they replied by telling me how to use a voucher. Once I sent another back, asking them to answer the question I asked, they said "sorry, no can do, it's your problem not ours" and left it at that (the quote marks may be slightly unfair - but that was the gist of their message).
Boo PayPal!
