Exclamation 400D Rebel XTi -- What's the difference?

What's the difference between a normal 400D and a 400D Rebel XTi?

Sorry for the new thread, but I need a quick answer as I'm just about to buy one!

I believe they are the same the Rebel XTI is what it's called in America.

Re: 400D Rebel XTi -- What's the difference?

Yeah the camera has a number of names across the world, US = Rebel XTi, japan was EOS Kiss Digital X or something.

Same camera.

I find the US naming confusing with XT, XTi, XSi etc for the 400/450/1000D etc.

Re: 400D Rebel XTi -- What's the difference?

Will it sell for less or anything that might make me not want to buy it?

It's 2nd hand on eBay...

Re: 400D Rebel XTi -- What's the difference?

The US camera versions sell for less in the UK than the euro version, and sometimes are not accepted by the manufacturer for repair even as chargeable job. which just happened to me on a Panasonic Lumix bought in the far east,

I guess you are right.. but its just a warning that UK service centers can by funny about non EU sourced equipment, The Authorised Panasonic service center I sent my camera to said they were not accepting any repairs that do not have the CE mark on the label.
