400D Best Price

My girlfriend is buying a 400D.

They're on eBay for £289 with £10 delivery, but they come with random stuff like an un-attractive bag, a tiny 512mb card, a silly little tripod and some random cleaning kit... I don't really want any of that. I just want what Canon gives you from the factory. The body, and the 18-55mm lens.

Any idea on where to get a good price?

If that £289 is including the lens then that is an awesome price (assuming it's not a grey import from China)

Since the 400D is now discontinued I haven't seen many places selling the body with lens as kit, but body + lens are still widely available separately. Camera Price Buster - UKs cheapest camera gear is your friend, which suggests the body is available at £279 plus the lens at just over £100.

Ah, I just noticed the eBay price was without a lens. I can't believe I missed that.

Cheers for the Amazon price. I think I'll have to convince her to go for that.

Do they still do £40 cash back on D-SLRs or not? After buying a memory card and a case it's close to £400. I think I'm going to go 2nd hand.
