Thanks: Gave 4, Got 8 | Looking to buy Nikon D90
Hello all,
I'm looking to buy the Nikon D90, can anyone recommend a shop online. I've seen a couple called 'Camera Box' and 'UK Digital' any experience with these. Would like to buy before the price increase or has that been implemented already.
cheers

Jessops price seems resonable currently I've bought both my Nikon's from them in the past and they seem to have stock. D90 seems available at it's original price from what I can see. You get a two year Nikon warranty as I understand it as long as you register the camera within 30 day's of purchase.

I'm sure I read somewhere that 'Camera Box' sell non-UK goods, so go careful... hopefully someone else can confirm that.
There's less than £15 difference between the Camera Box price and the Jessops online price... so I'd purchase from Jessops, buy online and collect from store. If you have any problems with the camera, at least you'll be able to take it back to a 'bricks and mortar' shop.

Couple of days later, nothing arrived. I made a couple of phone calls, they couldn't explain, they promised to return calls but never did (and a really bad attitude too). Apparently all the ones they had were damaged. I asked to cancel and for them to confirm by email. They never did. I sent more emails seeking confirmation - no response. I haven't checked my credit card yet but I don't trust them. Buy elsewhere if you can.

got mine from Jessops last week - it was only £20 more than the cheapest online place. Stock in hand so i could walk away with it and no hassle re postage etc.

Reviews for Camera box - take with whatever size pinch of salt you require, reviews are just people's opinions.
If there is £20 difference with online and instore - go for the highstreet, espically for a large item.
Build up your own online shopping choice with smaller items, when satisfied with a shops service you can buy big next time. |
