Question Epson PX800FW (UK)/ Artisan 800 (US) Printer

Most reviews of this printer seem very favourable but a number say the print quality is not of the best. Print quality on high quality photo paper is the most important thing for me - should I get one or look elsewhere?

Roger

Looks to me Roger to be a bit Jack of all trades master of none. I'd concentrate on getting a printer that just did photo's not faxes (only my opinion though )

I am not surprised by your response but can you recommend a master of photo printing on good photographic paper? Preferably multi function but prepared to consider seperate systems?

Ta, Roger

I tend to print on canvas and fine art paper so my experience of photo paper ain't great. High end printers tend to use pigment ink which provides better fade resistance these start at around £500 upwards for A3 going upto around £4K for the 44 inch models and beyond that for 60" models.

My personal opinion is that in most cases with regards high end printing it's probably as easy just to outsource the printing as and when you need it to a good lab.
