sigma tele converters and canon L lenses??
just a quick question i currently have a sigma 70-200 f2.8 and the 1.4x and 2x sigma ex teleconverters, i am seriously thinking of selling the lense and getting the canon 70-200 f2.8 is usm but cant really afford the canon teleconverters so i was wondering if my sigma ones would be any good with the canon lense until i can justify the expense of the canon ones??
plus how much do you think the 70-200 f2.8 mk1 and the converters would be worth
cheers
ady

Re: sigma tele converters and canon L lenses??
The sigma ones will work with the canon 70-200f2.8L no worries.
Jessops are currently selling the 1.4x sigma for about £50 (would love one but I is not in the UK!! So cant even order one!), usualy RRP is about £125 I think.
I bought a sigma 70-200f2.8 with the 2.0tc for $900NZ used which is about £350ish
If you want to sell the 1.4 I'd be intrested.

If you scroll down the same page on the link I posted, it moves on to Canon lens compatibility.

"SIGMA EX Apo Tele Converter
Compatibility chart for SIGMA brand lenses"
Every lens on that page is prefixed with 'APO' , unless I is blind or IE is filtering out half the page, canon dont make anty 'APO' lens's....
