Is this a good deal?
Is the fourth bundle (£419.16) a good deal & is it a good camera?
Canon EOS 1000D Digital SLR Camera - Jessops

Re: Is this a good deal?
I find this site quite useful :
Camera Price Buster - UKs cheapest camera gear
Card wise I'd ideally go for a sandisk extreme III if you can especially if you plan to shoot raw

If you want to stick with Jessops use the discount code 'Jessops5' for 5% off.

Re: Is this a good deal?
Digital photo mag this month has reviewed all the budget D-SLR's, the Nikon D60 was voted the best, Canon 1000D was voted second best.
All these cameras will take a very good picture, another camera well worth considering is the Sony A200

I'm gonna have to get that mag.
I really like the luck of the Canon 450 too, but there aren't many deals around for that model

Re: Is this a good deal?
I have been trying to choose between the Nikon D60 and the Canon 1000D and was looking at the Jessops offer on the D60 (2nd bundle)
Nikon D60 + VR 18-55mm lens kit - Jessops
Does anyone have a better deal?
Thanks
Mick

Re: Is this a good deal?
Managed to grab a 1000D last week for £290 then theres £30 cashback, £21 worth of boots points and £10 through topcashback! So £230 for the camera and kit lens. Look on camerapricebuster for best prices though

Would you recommend this camera as a good DSLR?

Re: Is this a good deal?
Best bet "Videonasty" is to go down to jessops or another camera shop and handle the different cameras and buy the camera that feels right.

I've done that, I liked the Canon's & the Sony's, but the Sony came across too big.
The 450 looks like the best bet, but as I'm starting a fresh it seems a lot of money to dispense with from the off. The reason I'm favoring the Canon 1000, the Boots Paypal offer ends today & that could free up some money to get a better lense.

Re: Is this a good deal?
If you decide on Jessops- XMAS20 gives you £20 off if you spend more than £300. Not sure how the JESSOPS5 code work but it only took £9 off the £404 bundle i was looking at
Cheers

Have you received your camera & does it qualify for the cashback?
