Camera Advice

I previously bought a Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ7 in 2007 but I gave it to my sister last Christmas as I didn't really have time for it!
I'm in the market for something similar now, I've been relying on my old K800 camera phone for snaps, and now my new C905 but even though its 8 Megapixel its not a patch on my old camera.
I'm not looking to spend too much, when I bought the Panny I chose closely between that and one of the Fujifilm cameras, now I've noticed the S5800 which seems to pretty much similar to the FZ7 its also available for roundabout £80 - £90 which seems a snip considering my FZ7 was £150+ when I bought it.
But I just wanted to know if anyone has had a Fuji S5800 and is it any good?

Cheers

Chris

Re: Camera Advice

How good would this camera be with night shots?

Re: Camera Advice

I've been taking a look at the Fujifilm range and I see there are a number of cameras roughly similar to the S5800,
I have noticed that the S1000 FD is only about £10-£15 dearer and to a camera leyman like me would seem to be a better specced camera, than the S5800.
I notice that the S5800 doesn't have image stabilisation, is that a deal breaker? Or would I be fine without it?
