Re: A day at a Bird Of Prey centre

Very nice set - which bird of prey centre were you at? I have the same lens and camera set up as you (I also have the 2xTC) and would love to have a go at taking some shots of those fine birds.

I think 6 and 8 are my favourites

Re: A day at a Bird Of Prey centre

It was one in Cheshire, long way from Acton

Gauntlet, Cheshire and the North West's leading falconry centre, displaying and flying over 100 birds of prey.

Re: A day at a Bird Of Prey centre

Very nice work indeed, numbers 3, 4 and 6 for me

Really like number 8 also but for me the grass, twig that is on it's breast out of focus is just a tad too distracting, but a damn fine shot nonetheless.

Re: A day at a Bird Of Prey centre

Are 3 and 4 with the extender on by any chance? 1 and 2 look super-sharp but 3 and 4 look a tad soft.

Just asking as I'm going to get one of those lenses myself.

Super pics though - I really like #1

Re: A day at a Bird Of Prey centre

Wonderful shots all of them, but I would have to say that my personal favorites are 6 and 8. That sigma looks as if it was a very good buy indeed.

1 is with the extender on, 2-3-4 are just the lens, none of them have been sharpened or photoshopped though a couple have been cropped
