Sony repairs please help

Hello all,

I have a SONY DSC H5 camera with a missing "picture taking" button. I have contacted SONY and they have quoted £115 repair for a 10p bit of plastic can any one help??

Your going to have to take it apart............ If it was me, I would bodge a new one with a small screw and some chemical metal, not the best solution and would take a couple of hours.

Cheers for your reply... I was hoping someone could point me in the direction of an independant agent to fix the camera.... as I dont have a good track record with diy repairs.... It would be a last resort

Try this fix that some guy did. I have the same problem . Scroll down about half way. He starts by saying it's a 2 $ fix .
