Spiders' webs revisited

I still have not got what I am hoping to get, a great looking shot of a web, but I think these are getting close. These were taken with a D300 and Sigma 150 2.8 macro with some cropping and tweaking in PSE 6.

All comments are welcomed.

#2 - #3
#3 stands out for me, wouldn't like to meet what ever spun that on a dark night

Re: Spiders' webs revisited

Some nice pics there John, I noticed these this morning in the fog and i am about to post some similar shots.

Like #3 and the background in the last one. Those 3D webs are quite tricky to capture. The spider that makes these is a lot smaller than the garden spiders that make the classic webs.

Re: Spiders' webs revisited

Great shots John, number two for me as well.

number three, I dread to think the size of the monster that spun that, I'd give that web a very wide berth indeed!
