A very Scottish airshow

I'm totally green with envy at the quality of airshow photos on here lately..... obviously all taken anywhere but Leuchars

This was my favourite shot from a dull, dreary, rainy day when relatively few planes flew, and those that did had their displays severely restricted.

Vulcan Bomber

ISO200, f/2.8, 45mm, 1/2500

The clouds were so low the Vulcan could only manage a little trundle along the runway - it wasn't permitted to take off due to the visibility. We didn't get to hear its legendary howl.

Gutted wasn't the word! But I hopefully salvaged something from the day in this image. At least it sums up the weather!

There are a few more in my flickr set - but tbh they're hardly worth looking at compared to the recent postings on here.

The good old British weather hey! Shame it seems to have ruined your day.

But that shot is a corker - you've made a really strong composition there and I like it a lot. The grey clouds even work.

LOL, that's what I thought, 'F' the weather - get those heaps o' junk up there and we'll make the jump to hyperspace once they hit 88 mph.

I think that's what's known as making the best of a bad situation.
Agree with Simon, that's a solid photo.
