Olympus SP570UZ Battery life

Just bought a 570UZ and am soon to be taking it on holiday. Does anyone else have one, and can advise how many pictures a good brand of AA's is likely to last?

Don't know about your particular camera but i would recommend you buy the highest rating NiMH battery you can find.

Mark.

Re: Olympus SP570UZ Battery life

I have just sold a Olympus SP570UZ, very nice camera.

The most I got out of a good set of batteries was about 450-500 shots, this was by using the viewfinder rather than the live display, not viewing the photos lots and lots of times. The last to trips I had with the camera was to an air show and to F1 at silverstone, on both days I managed 700 + photos on a set and half of batteries.

I used mainly duracel batteries in mine and found them to be ok, I did try rechargable batteries but didnt get anywhere near the ammount I could with bought batteries.

Thanks for that Gooner. We're going on a safari, so I think I'd better stock up!
