Really want to see China's entry into the competition. The only think that's putting me off was that the fireworks was only about 20mins.

Excellent photos, I love fireworks.
Never been to the Blackpool one though, always go to Southport.
This year they are doing the Champion of Champions on Oct 3rd/4th/5th for anyone interested.

I wish I could say they were hand held buy unfortunately not. Cheapo Manfrotto tripod used and a remote shutter with the camera in bulb mode.

Really good, I haven't shot fireworks before but think I'll have a go this year as there are 2 good fireworks events near me. Any recommendations on aperture and ISO etc? I assume a relatively low ISO, narrow aperture and use bulb mode to open and close the shutter after the fireworks?

Most of these were shot at ISO 200 (lowest my camera can do) and F11-13 ish. Manual focus to infinity and like you said used bulb mode. Most exposures were about 3 seconds I'd say.
