Watery shots... my D80 is back!

After sending my Nikon D80 off to Nikon for pixel remapping after it developed a bright red pixel I finally got it back today. It seemed forever that it had been away but fortunately since I've been stuck in the house with an ear infection while it's been away I've not really missed many photo opportunities.

I christened it's return by taking it to the lake in the park in town. Had to use the handy railings to lean the camera on as my balance is still a bit screwy (and may be for the next month or so! ) and the dim light meant that I had to use ISO640 to get high enough shutter speeds, but I'm pretty pleased with these:

I 'nearly' got a shot of two canada geese in flight but by the time I'd switched on the camera and turned to frame them they'd disappeared behind a load of trees. Ah well.

Two very nice shots - I hope you get better soon.

Re: Watery shots... my D80 is back!

Thanks John, they were far better than I had any hope of getting... I expected no usable shots with the light being so poor!

Am on the mend already, the infection is clear and I'm just going through healing of my inner ear and balance 'thingy', which I'm told might take up to seven or eight weeks to clear up. The dizziness is already improving and supposedly doing stuff that makes me dizzy will help it heal faster. Am still off work at the moment (have been off for about a month with this!) but am hoping to go back in on Wednesday. Have been taking careful walks into town and the village over the last few days to try and get my strength back and to work on the dizziness - it seems to be helping too, have noticed things that made my head really spin last week only make me slightly dizzy now. Just trying to ensure I don't overdo I though!
