Technically they look great. However, they lack a touch of realism - where's the big smiles of the happy couple, the laughter of the big day?
I can imagine it's a hard job to get models to pull that off if they are not a couple! Good luck with your real wedding, im sure you bag a couple of 'real' shots for you portfolio! |

Thanks for the comments, its very difficult to fake happy! The whole thing was a bit last minute. So just went for arty insted. Its a start to the portfolio anyways! Here is another one, got a bunch more to go through. Thanks for looking.
Crathes Castle is about 15 miles away from Aberdeen in Scotland.

Crathes Castle is about 15 miles away from Aberdeen in Scotland. | I find the variety OK, although Im not sure about the overall soft look, is it deliberate, added in PP or due to compression for web viewing . Biting sharp is equally a put off for some but a measured amount of sharpness would not be amiss IMHO
Good luck with the real thing
It is good you're had a dummy run and know the venue
The difference with the real thing is
Pressure to deliver quality stuff ( no second chances) and
The "unexpected"..
All the very best

Excellent stuff even if it was a mock wedding, did you use the 24-70mm 2.8 for most of these?

I shot with the 70-200 2.8 is outside, wide open for most of the shots. Indoors was the 50mm usually wide open at 1.4mm. They are a touch soft wide open, but it was the look i was going for. Unfortunatly the wedding on friday is at adifferent venue. Again thanks for all the comments.
