Maplin portable light softbox - reduced today - anyone got one?

http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...=AffilWin30372

Just wondering what they're like? Sre, I know you can make one fairly easily - but this one is only a tenner, so is it worth bothering with the Blue Peter approach?

Alternatively, has anyone investigated the 'Ikea laundry basket' light box?

Yes I have one. Works well and cheap as chips. You'll want a couple of bright flourescent desk lights to go either side of it. Also note the background is only grey or blue - no white, so I use a piece of thin white card held on with clothes pegs

Better hurry - there's only 2773 in stock.

Mine in action...

Note the added high-tech white paper reflector, and a couple of sheets of card to give a black background (as tobers says - grey/blue cloth in the set itself)

Re: Maplin portable light box - reduced today - anyone got one?

I bought the Maplins cube about a year ago but the construction was faulty so I took it back and ended up with a larger (80cm) popup light cube from eBay. Lots of sizes to choose from....
