a couple from silverstone

Took these at free practice on saturday at silverstone. I didnt take any on sunday because of the rain and the place was also packed. The photo's were taken at club and farm using a EOS400d and a tamron 70-300mm

I really like this one but i think its spolied by the fence!

I tried for some of the blurring background effect but i think i was getting too much shake so i had to bin those images

Re: a couple from silverstone

I think the cars in the first two are toooo close to the bottom of the frame, but I think the 3rd is a good shot.

Re: a couple from silverstone

I agree. The Kovalainen shot is a good 'un. The composition is good, with the bend in the back ground giving it some context.
Panning would have made it a bit better, but I'm guessing they were going pretty quick and panning on a corner isn't easy anyway. It's worth practicing with some simple L-R movement.

Re: a couple from silverstone

agree with the earlier comments - the Kovaleinen shot is the best.

btw - I had to look twice a the Kubica shot - looks like it was taken through rippled glass - I hadn't noticed before how 'sculptured' the front spoiler is on the BM.

PS - wish I'd been there on Sunday - has to be one of the best races I've watched
