Re: Open University Digi tog course with tesco clubcard vouchers...

There was a lady from a different forum that I sometimes visit who has done this.

She said it was ok, but she was disappointed with the feedback method (IIRC she said the students criticised each others work - are they qualified to do that?).

Probably worth doing for a beginner like me, especially as it's fairly cheap.

Might be worth seeking criticism here for your photos...

Just wondering how that course will make your photography skill improve as they're doing it online?

Re: Open University Digi tog course with tesco clubcard vouchers...

I see the point of courses like this, but I think they can be easily replicated with some good books and a bit of discipline. I remember reading about one another member was thinking of last year and it seemed the same kind of thing.
I think robpyle has it right that the criticism the course offers can be had here for free.
If you can get on it for the money you say I guess you lose nothing, it's a good price for Elements if nowt else, although not the most current version.

Thumbs up Re: Open University Digi tog course with tesco clubcard vouchers...

I was looking at this course online the other day, but to be honest I have found all the subjects covered with a great deal of knowledge by my local camera club.

I joined up at the begining of the year and have learnt so much, so if you don't already get down to your local club, meet new friends and pick-up lots of helpful camera info.

unfortunately my local camera club, which I've just discovered a couple of weeks ago while searching on the net, doesn't meet in July and August... typical

I'm going to apply anyway and might improve my photography skill.
