Thanks: Gave 242, Got 315 | It's official, I'm a muppet. Flickr help?
Slight propblem.
Have had my dslr for around 3 months now and kept all my finished photos on my windows desktop for easy access.
Anyway, to cut a long story short, I have deleted the folder and there is no chance of getting the photos back (I have tried using various software with no worthwhile results).
I have all my pictures on Flickr and also have a pro account so I can access them from there but was wondering if there is a way to download the whole lot in one go rather than one by one.
Thanks.

Might be worthwhile trying this application, seems to do exactly what you need: http://www.greggman.com/pages/flickrdown.htm
Or this: http://sunkencity.org/flickredit
Thanks
Steve

Folder went the way of everything else when I had a "tidyup" of the desktop so long gone.
Thanks for the links Steve, have downloaded the first one and it seems to be doing its job. |

Have you tried "easy recovery professional"? I used this when I formatted a drive and installed windows on it (for dual booting), never mind deleted them and it found them. Can't for the life of me find where I put it, or I'd send it you.
Take this as a warning and get an external drive and back things up. (he says as he losses his install of the recovery program)
Will have another trawl through my externals, it must be here somewhere..

Just a word of caution. Put your photos in a folder somewhere on the harddrive. Preferrably a separate drive/partition to the Windows install.
If something goes pear-shaped with Windows, it is a pain if important stuff is in the "desktop" folder.
For the easy access you require.........right-click desktop and "create shortcut" to your photos folder. That way you get best of both worlds. |

better to use external drive so if your pc does bang, your precious memories do not. I only connect my picture/important external drive for back up and disconnect once archived.
Once bitten...
