Backup of SD-HC card

After a previous failure of a memory card whilst on holiday can anyone recommend a way of backing a 8GB SD-HC memory card whilst on holiday?

I do not want to take the laptop as I will be staying in a B&B so I do not want to leave anything expensive in the room just in case.

Would it be better just to get another card and rotate the card each day and chance it? or is there an easier solution out there?

I would only need to backup up to about 10GB and have looked at portable hard drives etc but nothing has come close to what I require.

All I require is a device up to 10GB which takes SD-HC cards and can backup everything on it, why is it so hard to find?
