Thanks: Gave 174, Got 122 | Got the Nikon D300 + Sigma DC 18-125 tonight
Well finally picked up the D300 tonight with a cheap Sigma 18-125.
The battery seemed to take forever to charge, well only 2.5 hrs but seemed like forever - Anyway to test it out I thought I'd chase the new kitten around the house. Lighting was not great so had to use the built in flash. Quite please with the results, ignore the composition I was having some fun
Here are my first shots,.

Reason: Upped the exposure in picnic on the last kitten shot as it was a bit on the dark side

Now you can save up for a SB600 and can experience the wonders of wireless flash.

Well done Imcarm, you wont regret not being able to fill up your petrol tank for the rest of the year.
By selling my old Porsche and buying a diesel Volvo (yes ) I will save the cost of the D300 in fuel bills - tht was one of the reasons in changing cars.

The shots of the cat show some nice detail and I am looking forward to seeing more samples.

That last one is an absolute belter. Ok, maybe not the best for light/exposure etc. but as a capture of the kitten it's incredibly expressive. Made me laugh as soon as set eyes on it. Love it.

Grey cats are apparently the most playful/naughty of all cats for some reason... I really believe it too, coz my parents cat is grey and it's certainly not a very well behaved cat (it's now about 15 years old and still a little bugger!).
