Re: Sand Sculptures

wow they are really clever sculptures. How long does it take them to make ? Do they keep spraying the "mound" with water to keep it all damp and firm (so to speak) ?

Re: Sand Sculptures

I have seen a seen a few sand sculptures when visiting Weymouth - these are superb and must have taken a good while to create.

Where were these taken?

Re: Sand Sculptures

Went donw to Weymouth today & they have this Sand Hotel. They charge you £10-00 to stay overnight in it, plenty of Stars though, if your lucky.

How do they stop the top jaw from collapsing?

I wondered that as well. TBH I don't know. It's much the same as the Arch over the Weymouth Castle, if that collapsed that's a fair amount of sand to land on someone, I think there may be some type of support. The Crocogaters (allidiles)
are or were on the Beach at Santa Pola in Spain. Mike P may be able to find out, otherwise I'll ask when I'm over in September.
