Just a couple of shots from Melrose Abbey in the Scottish Borders.

PP: Curves and levels, high pass sharpen, vignette.

PP: Curves and levels, high pass sharpen, vignette, convert to mono and tone.

Gave the first one a mono conversion with a slight purple-tone. Purple being a colour associated with religion and power.

Like them a lot.
Not so keen on the purple one. The sky works better in the colour version as the blue defines the clouds better (inho)

Cracking shots Dave.
We were there last year and it rained and rained and then we had some thunder to add to that. Soaked! But it was and is a nice local and your pics have captured this well Dave!

I like #2, looks like a place to revisit on a dark & wet night! Although you wont get many of those up there though.
good subtle use of the vignetting.
