I posted a pic last week which utilised colour correction in CS and was asked to detail the process, so here it is: Open an image ((usually a good start) Scott Kelby influence )From the top menu - Image Adjustments Curves Double click on the first of the 3 eyedroppers (left hand one) this will alter the shadow values This brings up a colour picker screen Change all the values to 20 in the R-G and B boxes, click ok. Double click on the last eyepicker (right hand one) this will alter highlight values. Change all values to 244 click ok. Double click on the middle eyedropper and change all values to 133. Click ok. This is the mid tone reference Close curves box and click yes to keep as default values. re open curves and click once on the right hand dropper, find an area in your pic which is the highlight area and click on that spot. Click on the left hand dropper and find an area of your pic which is the shadow and again click on that spot. Repeat for mid tone. If you can't find the highlight, shadow and mid tones there is a neat method using a threshold adjustment layer - which if anyone wants I'll post up. Hope this a) helps b) works c) is understandable d) doesn't cause laughter in the more experienced PPers amongst us. Last edited by tontoshorse; 04-05-2008 at 4:21 PM. |
