Sony World Photography Awards 2008

They have an overall winner for the amateur competition in the Sony World Photography Awards in Cannes for 2008. See the winning image here:

http://www.worldphotographyawards.org/shortlist/amateur-overall.html

and the categorised shortlist it was selected from is here:

Nice image, well seen.

Was it a camera phone competition or something?

Re: Sony World Photography Awards 2008

I must confess that I didn't actually check the thumbnails were links (saw the winning image in a newspaper this morning and thought I'd share). Seems crazy that they aren't, or that the internet can be this developed and people can still design websites badly.

Good job, Jester, on finding some links.

Nick

No probs. Im wondering if they haven't posted "large" images anywhere as they are concerned about someone stealing/using image without permssion.

..maybe!
