Nikon D40....anybody cleaned the sensor?

Got a mark on my pictures and want to clean the sensor with a rocket blower.
According to the manual I need to select Mirror Lock Up from the set-up menu.
But this option isn't appearing in the set-up menu.
Am I missing something?
Battery is fully charged.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Try scrolling down. I think the lockup is off the bottom of the page (see linky below).

Also blow on the rear element of your lens, a dust bunny there will actually be more visible than on the sensor. Don't be too suprised or worried if you blow dust or other junk up into the focussing screen. I think my resident population of dustballs just moves around between sensor, screen, mirror and lens, just to torment me!

I'm not sure about the D40, but the D50 needs to have the CSM/Menu Setup on 'Detailed', rather than 'Simple' to use this function.

Press the menu button, select the setup menu(the spanner) press ok and then scroll down, mirror lockup is 4th option from the bottom then press ok again.

Thanks for that. I needed to change the Menu/Set-up from Simple to Full for it to show.
