photoshop editing help needed!

been away all day at loch lomond trying to take pics for a surprise present for my girlfriends birthday. got loads of shots i think i can use but some of them have 'blown out' (the right term for overexposing the sky????)

i was wondering if anyone could give me any input in how i can edit them in photoshop, i just got it yesterday and so far have completed some video tutorials but this is bit over my head i thinks.

im looking to selectively colour the pictures and put them in one of the photobooks iv seen online, if theres enough usable pictures that is!

i can post them in here if someone gives me heads up on how to do it...

thanks

You need 2 things from flickr 1 is the image path and the second is the link to the flickr page. Just open another window and go to your flickr site.

Click on
and now paste your image path from flickr > this is one of yours: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2268/2273204418_46662f738e_m.jpg now you should see this

Code:
 IMG http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2268/2273204418_46662f738e_m.jpg /IMG
how highlight this code from [img] to [img] and click on
enter the flick page > yours is http://www.flickr.com/photos/21239703@N08/2273204418/ * only for this example. Now you should have:

Code:
url=http://www.flickr.com/photos/21239703@N08/2273204418/ img http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2268/2273204418_46662f738e_m.jpg /img /url
If you preview this you get:

A tip if you open a bracket then you have to close it and also use the preview feature

Thumbs up Re: photoshop editing help needed!

A quick tip.

1) Always keep your original intact.
2) In 'layers' duplicate the 'original' layer. lock the original and work on the copy layer. (do this as many times as you have to)
3) use (& discover) non destructive methods of operandi. Look into layer masks!!
4) Depending on your photoshop version, 'brightness & contrast' adjuster is a destructive tool. it will destroy pixel data. If you have newer version, check the manual about this.
5) be subtle.

best of luck, & post some work!!!
