Wedding Story Book

Hi everyone,

I am looking to see if any one knows of a good reliable firm to do a wedding story book for me.

I am getting married in July and have a friend who will take all the shots for me which is cool. But my fiancee would love one of those reportage story books we have had quotes from other firms that will do the whole package and there are all touching £2000 which is too pricey for us.

So if any one knows a good firm to get one of those types of books from can you please advise.
Cheers Rob

Re: Wedding Story Book

I recently used BLURB to order a book.
It is very good as you download an App and make the book yourself, putting all the photos where you want it in teh right order and how you want the page set out. Then once you are done you upload to the site through the App and your done. Its good coz you can simply do it, then keep changing it until you are done then submit it once you are 100% happey.
There are thousands of combinations and it only took 2 weeks to get printed and delivered.
I was very impressed and very satisfied with the results.

Re: Wedding Story Book

You're unlikely to get the likes of Graphistudio or Jorgensen to supply you, so try Booked Images & Spicer Hallfield.

£2000 - is that for a storybook alone?

Re: Wedding Story Book

I would try Lulu.com - they should be able to do it and for a reasonable price too.

Re: Wedding Story Book

Thanks for all the really useful information and sites. I have been to a wedding fair today and she now knows exactly what she wants. The book has to have solid pages and a reportage feel.
Just going to have a good look through the recommended sites now.

Hi blurb looks great can you please tell me what the thickness of the pages are like, only it is a must with the fiancee to have the heavy pages as i have seen at the wedding fairs (got to keep the bride to be happy).
Cheers Rob

Re: Wedding Story Book

Can you not get your photographer to supply the book?

I think you're going to struggle to get anything supplied to the public the likes of which you've seen at a wedding fair. I had to fulfil a number of criteria to be supplied by Graphi and they only supply to photographers who can prove they are what they say they are. I'd bet it's that sort of book your other half has seen.

Im not sure i can answer that. Its thcker than a glossy mag, but not as much as piece of card.
I wouldnt say its inth eleague of a pro book, but the thing i like is its customisable, great quality and its personal .... plus it was only £5 delivered.
The cover is obvioulsy hard card.
