#2 is great...moody sky yet calm silky water.

Interesting - but I would loved to have seen them in their natural colouring - as tontohorse says they're almost negative

Not to my tastes.
Would like to see the originals, though...

I really like the effect that processing has on the skies but I really don't like the effect on the bridges.......reminds me of severely overdone HDR. The before and after comparisons are interesting though.

Now they are so much better I particularly like #3. They all remind me of my days spent at R.A.F. Pitreavie.

Looking at them in full on a 22inch tft makes them look even better IMO
Thanks

Like I say, personal taste and as I have already said.....I really like them! And at the end of the day, in photography is for yourself really although its nice to put them on show
Thanks for the feedback Tonto....

icemanonline | Excactly right Iceman, we are all different and like different type of photographs, you only have to look at the different styles in the comp entry, but at the end of the day we take our photos for ourselves, but when we stick them on the forums they are open to opinions from people with different likes and dislikes.
First and foremost keep on doing what you are doing for your own pleasure |

I like the metallic effect of the first lot. Looks better than the originals. Maybe they are PP-able and get great results but not with my photoshop skill level.

I do like the original shots but with this bloody weather were having the now......I didn't think they turned out great, not even great actually, they were......... or are, alright! So I had a bit of experimenting to do to make them better..... IMO and after changing the originals using contrast, brightness and all the usual PP stuff........I tried some metal looks and settled on this metallic look............and I really do like it. I think the sky in all of them has more life to it for 1......it looks really angry in 1 of them, and just that textured look.....I think is good.
I also changed them to B&W and Sepia and a few others but this metallic look is the best, for the subject.
Matter of taste i guess...
