A brand new Fuji F31FD for just £150?

As you know the Fuji F31FD is now a cult camera amongst the discerning photography community.

The trouble is nobody sells them new & they go on Ebay for stupid prices....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Fuji-Finepix-F...QQcmdZViewItem

therefore this set my creative mind off.

F31FDs *are* still available new for £269 as part of a dive package....

f31fd, underwater housing, 1GB XD card, leather case.

Ok, the XD card is worth about £10, therefore that takes the effective camera price down to £259. The leather case they're offering is a genuine Fuji case. It's a big one (far too big in my opinion). But a quick look on the Fuji website shows it to be worth about £25.00 new (this one https://secure.fujifilm.co.uk/shop/c...tipurpose-case). Therefore I reckon you could get £15 for it on Ebay, therefore we're now down to £245!

Finally the underwater housing is worth about £90-125 (depending how good you are searching online for the best price!). A secondhand underwater housing recently went for £80 on Ebay, therefore a new housing could likely raise about £95 I reckon.

This takes the cost of the F31FD down to £150 (you'd need to add a few quid for ebay/paypal fees I guess)

There are still a few dive shops still advertising the packages here in the UK (one London speacialist outlet has five such new packages left in stock)

Did I do it?

No, because I now just need a camera to plug the gap between now & the F100FD being released (assuming it gets good reviews) & Play.com are now doing the F40FD for £96 (after quidco) *delivered* which is just too good a price to turn down!

for those prices i'm tempted to sell mine on ebay then buy something like the A570 IS and be £100 better off as well
