What Constitutes a Photography Gathering?

Up yer pipe!

Now then! Had a thought . . . but no answer to my own question . . . open to the floor. Not you Smithers!

What makes for a decent gathering of the AF Forums bretheren? Is there a format or how it ought to it work?

Who puts on the apron and becomes Auntie for the day? Methinks us Suvverners (dahn sahf) ought to have a shindig. Lest we forget, where, when, who, what, where and why . . . !

If I might make a mild suggestion . . if anyone has the knowhow and means, then I'm up for a day out. I might recommend a short shoot here in my own home town as there are some nice things to shoot. Pompey has some skyline and history by the bucketload

Are cameras allowed on HMS Victory? Now THAT would be really cool. The Bournemouth to Portsmouth South Coast Branch . . . Avast Ye!

What say you?

Re: What Constitutes a Photography Gathering?

I think it is entirely up to the person doing the organising. For the do that Gordon & I are doing down in Guildford we've restricted numbers to avoid scaring the general population, and have set up a loose itinerary of 4 locations, with somewhere afterwards (hopefully a pub) to upload pics & project onto a big screen for good-natured critique.

This is just our idea though - others have done completely different things.

Figure out what you want to do & post up, and see if anyone wants to join in.
