Filters and Rotating Lenses

I was going to buy some circular polarising filters for my lenses but I have realised that all my lenses rotate at the end while focusing. Is there a filter system out there which this doesnt affect or am I stuck without?

Cheers

Re: Filters and Rotating Lenses

I thought you can put any circular polarising filter to any lens?

Re: Filters and Rotating Lenses

That's what circular filters are for, to cope with lenses that rotate.

Re: Filters and Rotating Lenses

I don't think there is a way to use a CPL with a front rotating element apart from to just keep adjusting it after you have focused and zoomed. You normally have to adjust the CPL for each shot anyway so unless your taking loads of shots in a rush I don't see how it should be that much of a problem.

Saying that, apart from my 70-300 all my lenses don't have rotating front elements so I might not fully appreciate how much of a problem it is!

Re: Filters and Rotating Lenses

Should have added that these filters rotate freely and are designed so that the filter is rotated after focusing to get the desired effect.
