Best Digital Camera for £100? Im clueless!

Hey everyone, my Missus wants to buy her Mum a new camera, shes got £100 to spend, can anyone advise me on what would be good? im a bit clueless about Cameras!

What is probably easier is to do a web search ( or on previous similar threads here to see what has been suggested) and then draw a shortlist.
Start from say Argos ect.
It is easier for folk to comment on what they like or dont like than to suggest off the top of thier heads as there is really no Best but there are probably a few worth considering
The Fujis are generally well rated and the Panasonic's get a good.
Problem is that a lot of folk on here may own them as second cameras and it can be hard to keep up with the latest models

i've just ordered a fuji s5700 from play.com for £105 delivered - amazon has it at same price. Seems to get good reviews and has a 10x zoom.
