Monopod - How many stops slower??

Hi guys, haven't been on in a long time...never really get time to take photos but thats going to change in 2008.

Anyway, just purchased a Manfrotto monopod and wondered how much slower shutter speed can be expected over hand held.

Oh, happy new year to you all.....and well done to all the comp winners in 2007.

Martin

Re: Monopod - How many stops slower??

To be honest it all depends on how steady you are balance wise.
I get 1-2 stops max if I concentrate really hard.

Sounds about right to me I usually reckon on 1 stop
