Nikon D40X at Ebuyer
I have been keeping an eye out for one of these for the last week or so. For some reason Ebuyer did not come up in most searches.
They are doing the D40X for about £366 inc P&P, assuming it is eligible for the £40 cash back, it is coming in at about £326.00.

Re: Nikon D40X at Ebuyer
Hi I was tracking the D80 price on Ebuyer.com and reading some of the purchaser's review of the D80 it would appear that the D80 was grey import and thus will not qualify for the cashback. Not sure if it is the same case with the D40x. However I know that Dixon online will price match with ebuyer.com if a similar spec is offered at Dixons. Eventually got my D80 with Dixons but price matched to Tekmo.co.uk.

Re: Nikon D40X at Ebuyer
You are probably right, Ebuyer couldn't ( or wouldn't ) tell me if they were eligible of cash back or if they were grey imports.
These was also a customer comment on the D40X page that said they do not qualify for cash back.
So still works out cheaper from Dixon's at the moment, £379.00. I think I will wait and see what the post Xmas sales bring.

Re: Nikon D40X at Ebuyer
Id pay the extra and get the D80, much better camera and far more scope for future upgrades etc. Also has commander mode which the D40x doesnt have.

I'm with DarkEntity here, if you factor in you can get the 18-135mm lens as part of the D80 kit that retails for £220 on it's own, or the 18-70 that retails for around £170 the D80's not as expensive as it may initally look.

Pirate
Ebuyer won't confirm if these are grey imports or if they are eligible for cash back. One customer feedback says they are not eligible for cash back.
Dixon's say they will match this price.

Re: Nikon D40X at Ebuyer
I know, so ask Nikon if eBuyer are on their list of distributors to which they have supplied. If not, then for £40.00, it's not worth getting hung up over. The eBuyer price has dropped £10.00 since your opening post, so in reality, £30.00 nett.
I can't understand why eBuyer wouldn't confirm/deny your request.
