I've been meaning to go down to this little beach for some time - last time I tried, I had the little fella with me and he refused to even get out of the car. To be fair it was bitterly cold and blowing a gale at the time
Anyway, inspired by Ally's recent beach shots, I left work at 4and nipped down to get some shots. Unfortunately, the tide was in the wrong place for the shot I wanted, but grabbed these ones.
This was the feature I was after - but didn't fancy the 30 minute wait for the tide to hit. Still, the moon was quite bright, so made a shot anyway. |

Great stuff Liquid, lovely colour. No.4 is a cracker.
I'm really quite struck by how 'clean' your and Ally's images always seem to be. I like your style.

Another who wishs he could just grab shots like this
Very nice set, I do like the 2nd one the water looks like mist, and good black and white treatment.
Cheers Holo

Great work my friend, particularly like the last two And can see what why 4 would have been that much better with the water.
Looks like a great beach, interesting formations...I might have to pay a visit

Great shots as usual Scott. Those rocks looks really very nice. Quite dramatic and they draw you in well.
Nice as that last shot is I think it would be epic with the water added aswell. (keeping the moon).
Love seeing your work (and I for one was dissapointed when you stopped doing your sea work.)

All really first class - I think I like #3 best but it's a tough call. Can't help but notice that whilst you, Ally & Vulkan are drawn to similar subject matter you each have a distinctive style with it

All wonderful, Scott. I think my favourite is number 3.
I agree that water on the fourth would have made a good photograph great. I'm sure you'll be back there when the tide is in!
Cheers.

I prefer the third one of the lot Scott. They are all excellent exposures but I find the first two a bit heavy on the top right, maybe include a bit more sky and not have the land blocking the top corner so much. With the last one also I would have maybe tried to move to the left a bit more (or get lower) as the feature you were looking at is not as prominent as it could be because of the land in the background. Trying to be constructive here

A great set of shots. Think the third one is my fav.
Looks like you need to work out the tide times for that last shot |

I struggled with the framing on the first two. I had to have some kind of cliff edge in there, but just didn't know where to place it. It may have been nicer to have it it across 2/3rds of the horizonline rather than 1/3rd. I tried some without any land, but just felt they were a little empty.
I completely agree with on the last one. I'd made several shots of this before I got down low enough to have the rocks poking out into the sky little. I could have gone lower to make a more dramatic composition, but I was on my knees in wet sand as it was. To be honest though, I was just being lazy as well. It was much darker than it appears here, and I was using a torch to focus. By this point, I just wanted to go home for my dinner
Thanks for the comments everybody

Stunning images. Expected nothing less though from you, Liquid.
Really like the moody B&W conversion. #4 is like on a different planet.
Great work.
