Anybody used bestpricedbrands.co.uk? Reliable?

As I said in another thread I am currently looking to buy a Canon 400D.
After much searching around the following link came up cheapest:

http://www.bestpricedbrands.co.uk/in...&productId=188

This is £387inc VAT and Delivery for the 400D and Kit lens.
So with the £50 cashback from Canon that makes it £337 all in.

Has anybody used this company before and what was your experience?
It's all well and good them being the cheapest, however I'm happy to pay a little more if this company are not reliable or a total unknown.

Re: Anybody used bestpricedbrands.co.uk? Reliable?

Just googled the name and found some unhappy customers on a complaint site
Think it was called Klik2complain (or something like that)

Its based in America and the English address it gives is actually the American Embassy

Everybody gets the american model of the camera, no refunds and they dont honour warrantees.

Best avoided to be on the safe side i think.

Thanks for the warning - think I'll stick to more well known sites then

It's generally always the case that if something seems too good to be true, it's not true !

Thumbs down Re: Anybody used bestpricedbrands.co.uk? Reliable?

As Bodoman says, everyone gets a US model. Forget cashback; you need a full purchase receipt, and a European guarantee, for Canon to accept a claim, and you will get neither from bestpricedbrands. Their cashback claims are pure misrepresentation. Yes, I got caught, and no, I will never use them again. AVOID!
