Two twos from me - it's been a while!

It's been ages since I went out solely to take photos!

Here's two pairs I found on my travels which I thought were interesting.

Two t-shirts

Canon 400D with the kit lens (which I really dislike)
55mm
1/200 at f/8
ISO 100

Two Umbrellas

Canon 400D with 50mm f/1.8 (which I love)
50mm
1/40 at f/8
ISO 400

Kept tooing and froing on whether to do this one B&W, but in the end couldn't get a balance where the umbrellas stood out as much.

Anyway C+C welcome.

That first is really nice. Lots of angles etc etc.

Second doesn't do much for me though. Perhaps its just a little busy as the umbrellas seem to get lost.

I like the weird perspectives on the first. Is it tiny t shirts or monster tiles?

I think colour is the best for 2. perhaps a crop from the right to the broom handle may bring the umbrellas in.

I like the first one toom but i'm not sure about the crop - it's a slightly uncomfortable shape IMO.

What made you crop it?

No 1 is an unusual shot, i really like it.

Not the sort of photo i would think of taking, even if i was standing in the same place with a camera in my hand, very well done indeed

Re: Two twos from me - it's been a while!

Hi Liquid
I was stuck with the kit lens on max 55mm, when really it should have been about 100mm. So I had to crop it one way or another. I tried a few and decided on square. I'll post the original in the morning, then maybe you can suggest a better one.
The main problem is there are some distracting things outside the crop, but it will be interesting anyway.

Re: Two twos from me - it's been a while!

Its No 1 for me TT, like the contrast of the bright greens against the all over light grey.

Thanks for the comments guys.
Here's the original, in case anyone find a better crop.
