Re: lens wanted please

Apparently there are conversion lenses, but @ 3x optical . . . personally . . . . I would be looking elsewhere for another camera. 3x optical is too limiting and as well as a pocket cam, can see no advantage.

You would lose image quality for a start. Just my 2 doubloons worth . . but if you seriously need the extra functionality of extra zoom or wider . . . I would be looking at some of the Panasonic FZ series. Sorry to be a kiljoy, but I see no point in investing in extra gear when the hardware is already out there for probably less ££s than what you need for your camera.

Re: lens wanted please

Wise words Pirate.

I think one of my workmates bought a Panasonic FZ8 for just £150 from ebuyer last week. That seems like a bargain to me!

Re: lens wanted please

I have to agree, the quality suffers using teleconversion lenses on something like the p93 they also make it a pain in the backside to carry around. If you need a bigger zoom then you dont have to spend too much more money to get a brand spanking new camera that will offer you that as stated in the posts above.
If you want to be able to change lenses all the time then you would need a digital SLR, which arent exactly pocketable
