One more from Arley Arboretum

I was flicking through a few of my pictures from Arley Arboretum last night and found this one out.

1/40 shutter speed to blur the water a touch and softly Ortonised in post processing.

That's great Steve! The Orton effect really works well.

The brickwork to the left is a slight distraction but that's only a very minor niggle, I just wonder if you could have shot this from the left of the fountain and had a cleaner background?

Re: One more from Arley Arboretum

Very nice.
For some reason the Orton Effect reminds me of talcum powder.

I have to say I didn't notice that at the time or later on........but now you mention it I can't stop noticing it There were lots of people about at the time which made it difficult to get a shot at all without it being cluttered by visitors, you are right though, the other side would have worked better

Re: One more from Arley Arboretum

Looks very painting-like. Makes it look lovely and tranquil. Not quite sure about the talcum powder thing though

Not sure I like this processing steve - just looks a little dated to me.
