hi guys i wonder if you could help me what price could i expect to get for the following
nikon d40x mint 3 months old boxed as new with recipt
nikon d40x 18-55m kit lens
2*2 gig sandisk extreme 3 sd cards
nikon d70 body mint condition plus a sandisk 512 extreme 2 compact flash card
and a sigm sg530st external flash unti used once
its just me and my buisness partner have done a few weddings and today a Christening and i use nikon and he uses canon so i thought i may sell my gear and go canon so we can exchange lenses etc, and with the cash i may make from these what do you think canon dslr should i get any help on this would be appreciated , as our overhaul goal would be to do this for a living but havent got the money to go and get the most exspensive kit so have to start small and build from there

Somewhere between 580 and 620 for the lot I'd say - if you got the maximum value for each.
Having said that, you'd be better of selling the D40 kit and D70 separately - who wants a combo of those bodies?

thanks for the reply guys how would you sell the cameras to get maximum price for both eg what would you sell the Nikon d40x ,flash etc for individually and as for the 5d nice camera but having just started out its out of my price range unfortunatly

I'd say £600 tops for all of it, assuming you sell the bodies separately and keep the kit lens with the D40x.
Tips for ebay:
Take decent pictures of your kit
Be informative, describe condition fairly and be prepared to answer the inevitable "will you close the auction for three pence" questions
Ensure the auction title covers the most common search terms for that item ... the Sigma flash is for "Nikon" etc
Consider using buy it now if you have a definite price you wish to achieve (assuming it's reasonable)
Don't, whatever you do, copy other people's auction text or pictures

| Check finish time pick a time when alot o people will be about/looking like Sunday teatime avoid times when people are at work or when there is a big sports event on the telly

ok thanks for the replys been looking around and think i would like either a canon 30d or 400d , and do i sell the nikons on ebay or use the forums on here
