New Models

hey guys, not seen much discussion on here about the new prosumer models being released
namely the Canon Eos 1ds iii (note the S) 21mp and 5fps
The Nikon D3 (12mp FX FRAME!!!) switchable to DX frame for 11fps (9fps on FX frame) Dual CF slots of simultaneous or sequential writing (backup or extra capacity)
Iso values from 100 to 25600

also the d300 looks interesting too, some nice touches going on there, not sure if it will tempt people up from the d200 though

any thoughts on these bad boys?
heres some links for you... IMO nikon have smashed it

Re: New Models

The two Nikons were discussed from the date of their announcement - Here
Not sure about any Canons though - Not a name I'm familiar with

Re: New Models

That's cos they are all too expensive. However, a number of us have determined that we'd like the Canon 1Ds mk3 should a large amount of money appear in front of us.

ISO-25600 is a bit of a jump isn't it

What they don't tell you is that every photograph made at this ISO rating will look like a giant box of randomly coloured tennis balls.

I've been holding out for the D300. However, now it's here, the money i've saved for it looks like it might go on a new Mac I want to play with one first

Re: New Models

yeah wouldnt mind a go! weird thing is i found radioheads post about these cameras and edited mine to mark it up for deletion yet it still exists!

i tell you though, i dont think id be all over the 1ds mk3... surely too many pixels for most of us? wouldnt get much going on our 2-4-8 gb cards!
the d3 with 2 slots its genius! and full frame from nikon... after saying DX was the future!! they folded!! can't complain though... they listened to users!
