Canon EOS 400D Error message
I am using an EF 28-90mm USM lens (think it is a Mk2 - how do you tell??) on an EOS 400D body. This combination has worked satisfactorily for the last nine months or so. However, now, when the lens is set to the 28mm position and a shot taken in any mode the camera reports an error 99 code that requires the camera to be switched off and then back on, sometimes the battery needs to be removed as well. If the lens is left at the 28mm position the same happens, however over the rest of the lens range everything is OK. Has anyone else had a similar problem and is the lens worth repairing OR is there potentially a problem with the camera as well??
