Another HDR and a few of Hawarden Castle

Hi all,

Haven't posted images for a while but I managed to nip out at lunchtime today and got a few more shots.

The first one is an 'arty' HDR of a dead tree I saw. The second and third are of Hawarden Castle (or what's left of it!). I haven't done any PP on the first image apart from cropping it and adding the border/text. The second has had its' curves adjusted slightly and then converted to B&W and border/text added.

All C&C appreciated!

1) HDR Tree

2) Hawarden Castle Ruins (Apologies to Vulkan for using the font he's been using!)

3) Castle Mount

Cheers
Steve

Hi steve Really like the tree one one best...That would look great black and white too.

Why are you apologising for using a free font..Nice touch though eh!

Re: Another HDR and a few of Hawarden Castle

Thanks bud, thought I'd do a few conversions to see how they turned out...good suggestion!

1) Tree - B&W

I converted this one using the "optikvervelabs" B&W filter recommended a few days ago and then played with the levels/curves to give it some contrast and added a small amount of blurring.

2) Tree - Sepia

This one was a straight conversion using the "Brownie" B&W filter from "optikvervelabs"

And as for the font, I didn't want to take the credit for it even though it is free!

Cheers
Steve

The OptikVerve package filters are very good and I like the cut of your jib!

Thanks Vulcan, I do like the strong contrast in the first conversion. As I said, good suggestion

Love the tree shots .. the "Brownie" as well, though the foreground doesn't really stand out from the background.

Re: Another HDR and a few of Hawarden Castle

Thanks Sophistasista, I'm glad you like my conversions. You're right about the foreground not standing out enough but that was a slight side effect of this HDR conversion. Even in the colour version it's hard to see an obvious break because it was quite a steep drop down to the tree!

Cheers
Steve
