Thanks: Gave 37, Got 175 | Tripod - What to do with my old one?
Ok, I changed my tripod as the old one wouldn't support the fat a$$ that is my 5D and 100-400. The old one is a Velbon CX-540 boxed with a Neoprene Pro strap and a Jessops carry bag and has never really been used.
Offered it for sale previously with no luck, should I therefore throw it out or into the loft? Could offer it as a comp prize too but suspect most people have a tripod, or does anyone here need a tripod?
I don't suspect I will ever use it again and it's a shame for someone not to get the benefit from it. What are your thoughts peeps?

Save it for when you get caught up the latest trend of wireless flashing. Migth be overkill for a flashhead, but it won't fall over |

Will it fit a Canon 400D ? If so, if you can wait until the end of the month I would take it off your hands ! I would cover p+p

If you want it then it's your's, also got a spare plate for it too so you can leave one on the lense
PM me your address and I'll get the lot in the post, you can send me the P&P if you like when I know how much it is but not too bothered as long as it's going to a good home.
@Liquid: Did think about that but it is serious overkill

Supplementary question. Is the flashgun hot-shoe the same as the Alpha A100?
