Went with Lee (Motobug) to Goodwood for the first time today, and had a superb day. Having little idea what to expect, the sheer variety of racing, events and stands is quite mind boggling, and the organisation is second to none.
Here are just a few shots from the day, already looking forward to next years, where hopefully the photography skills will have improved as well |

Really good results there. Really like the Blitzen Benz one. The capture of the look on his face adds a real nice touch.
Also like the way you've adjusted to get strong contrast without losing detail. The solid black of the tyres on the first for example.
Very envious of the motors you and motobug saw. The Veyron.... .I know it's "only a car"?!?! but surely a once in a lifetime thing.

It was magic to see, and more importantly hear, some of the cars going up the hill including the Veyron, and a whole host of F1 cars. I can see why people would buy a weekend pass now.

Good pics there. I like #3 and the Veyron in #6, of course.
I saw a Veyron flying up the hill last year at Goodwood... awesome bit of kit and it sounds amazing.

Really good sharp shots there. I also like the Blitzen Benz one as the guy's face makes the picture.
The biker is Christian Pfeiffer and he's a stunt supermo. Completely sensational bike control - he can do just about anything with a motorbike. He's sponsored by BMW so he's always on a Beemer.

The wildcat has a special place for me, coz I'm an offroad racing competitor and fan.
All great shots though. that stunt bike is something else!

Gordon, I'm no expert on European bikes as all my past rides were Japanese, but one of the pictures shows 'F800' at the rear. I've checked BMW's website and that model is indeed belt drive.
I'm looking forward to you picking up yours and doing some similar stunts in Guildford High Street |

All these photos are excellent, but the Blitzen Benz photo really stands out for me. You can see the driver is having to work hard to control this monster. It has a 4 cylinder engine of 21.5 litre capacity producing 200 bhp at 1600 RPM (slightly over idle speed for a modern road car). It held the land speed record of over 200 km/h (120 mph) in 1911. The noise of this thing must be awesome. Really have to try and get there next year.

Chris,
If you speak to my friends from 20yrs ago they will actually tell you all about my motorbike stunts.....not quite at that level it has to be said....but enough to annoy the local constabulary.....
ah those were the days....
